Automation Engineering

Thanks to our diversity of services, Stellar automation and control engineers work directly with our in-house mechanical and electrical departments to design and implement automated control systems of remarkable efficiency and effectiveness.

These systems are designed to help our clients:

  • Conserve energy
  • Maximize efficiency
  • Increase productivity
  • Reduce downtime

Using non-proprietary hardware and software, Stellar controls are custom designed to produce accurate results and ensure precision for refrigeration, processing, manufacturing, power, safety and general building applications.

We even provide complete design, fabrication, installation, testing and, if required, 24 hour monitoring. All systems generate trend analysis, alarm logs, energy management data, and specified equipment runtime/status reports in real time or for later evaluation. These systems are used throughout a variety industries, including:

  • Cold storage warehousing
  • Food & Beverage processing and distribution
  • Power and utility
  • Pharmaceutical and petrochemical
  • Packaging
  • Water/wastewater
  • Building mechanical: energy management, HVAC, lighting, security

Quality is evident in every Stellar system. We are an Allen Bradley/Rockwell ASP (Application Solutions Provider) and one of the first to be informed of new advancements, which are immediately offered to clients. Regardless of the industry or location of the system, a Stellar control system is designed to perform seamlessly through an ethernet or data highway throughout the plant network. The following characteristics can be found in every Stellar control system:

  • Custom design using project specific hardware and software
  • MMI (man-to-machine interfaces)
  • UL Listed and NEMA rated
  • PC or PLC based with touchscreens
  • Remote monitoring capable through direct dial-up, internet, frame or VPN
  • Hardware and software: Allen Bradley, Opto-22, Wonderware, Intouch MMI, Rockwell RSVIEW MMI and Panelviews
  • Upgradeable

A Stellar control system is a total turn-key solution and is assembled and tested at a UL-Listed 508 shop. All equipment is designed, fabricated and installed to plant specific requirements. Part replacement or system upgrades can be modified quickly and easily because hardware and software are non-proprietary. These systems can perform in wet, hot, cold or hazardous environments. Stellar's technical service and support team offers 24 hours a day, seven days a week on-site emergency repair or consulting.
