Sustainability: Construction & Owner-Occupancy Phase
At Stellar, we believe that the budgeting, design and commissioning phases are not the only stages of project development that require attention to sustainability objectives and LEED criteria.
In addition to creating sustainable structures, Stellar also takes advanced measures to follow environmentally responsible construction-site practices that extend all the way through the occupancy stage.
There are many issues during construction that require special attention by the field-services team. These issues are given serious and detailed attention by our general superintendent, project superintendent and assistant superintendent as well as by the vendors and subcontractors we select. Just a few of the considerations we address include:
- Managing and reducing construction waste
- Safeguarding indoor air quality during and after construction
- Protecting adjacent occupied spaces from airborne contaminants created during construction
- Building commissioning
