Stellar Building New bestbet Gaming Facility in St. Johns County

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. (December 6, 2021) — Stellar has finished "topping out" the new bestbet St. Augustine gaming facility, marking a major milestone as the project moves into its second half of construction. Now that the final piece of the structure has been installed, crews will turn to completing the interior of the building.

Stellar is the general contractor for the $11.6 million project, which first broke ground in July 2021. The 40,673-square-foot gaming facility will include an expansive cardroom offering traditional poker games as well as designated players games such as Ultimate Texas Hold’em, 3 Card Poker, Fortune Pai Gow and more. The facility will also include a simulcast area for wagering on thoroughbred racing, food and beverage service and a sports bar.

"The space will also include some unique aesthetic features to evoke the elegance of a luxury casino," said Stellar project manager Scott Wright. "This includes high-end wood paneling, decorative LED lighting, a tree-like millwork structure, cloud-inspired light fixtures and an event center separated by a glass partition for private meetings and other special events."

The concrete tilt-wall construction project is being built on an 8-acre greenfield site near I-95 and State Road 207 in St. Johns County. Plans include a parking area with 457 spaces. Stellar partnered with architect Fisher Koppenhafer on the project, which is scheduled for completion in June 2022.

"We're proud that bestbet chose us to manage this project, and we look forward to delivering another successful location," said Tim Jenkins, Vice President of Operations for Stellar's commercial division.

Previously, Stellar retrofitted 60,000 square feet of existing retail space into bestbet's gaming facility on Monument Road in Jacksonville. The new St. Augustine bestbet gaming facility is located at 800 Marketplace Drive.
