Stellar Celebrates Decade of Charitable Giving With $12,500 In Donations To Local Charities

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (February 13, 2017) — Stellar, a fully integrated firm focused on design, engineering, construction and mechanical services worldwide, has donated $10,000 to River Garden Senior Services and $2,500 to Food Brings Hope in honor of the Stellar Foundation’s 10-year anniversary.

The Stellar Foundation began in 2006 when Stellar first established its employee giving program. By the end of 2016, the Foundation has donated over $2 million to nonprofit organizations and causes here in Northeast Florida and globally where Stellar has a presence.

“Stellar chose these particular organizations in celebration of our 10-year anniversary to honor the roots of our Foundation and the strong philanthropic partnerships we’ve built over the last decade,” said Mike Santarone, Stellar President & COO. “As a large employer in Jacksonville, we want to make the area a better place to live and work for our employees and honor their individual passions.”

Stellar was the design-builder for the River Garden Hebrew Home’s facility expansion and renovation in 2012, to which the company donated an additional $30,000. River Garden Senior Services is a nonprofit senior care center located in Mandarin, sponsored by the organized Jacksonville Jewish Community.

“Our team and residents are grateful for Stellar’s generous donation and continued support of our neighborhood,” said Martin Goetz, CEO, River Garden Senior Services. “As a River Garden ‘Partner in Excellence,’ Stellar is helping us secure the future of our organization and support our resident care programs in Jacksonville.”

Stellar also donated $2,500 to Food Brings Hope, a nonprofit organization in Volusia County dedicated to providing collaborative solutions for families with children who experience hunger due to homelessness, poverty or unfamiliarity with community resources.

This holiday season, Stellar employees donated gifts for 50 children at PedsCare and 38 Thanksgiving food baskets to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida to feed over 150 people.
