Dot Foods Facility Expansion

Stellar partnered once again with long-time client Dot Foods to deliver a 100,000-square-foot expansion at their University Park, Illinois distribution center, marking Stellar’s first project at this location. The expansion includes new freezer, cooler, and dry warehouse space, along with additions to the facility’s office and maintenance areas.

Working under a GMP delivery method, Stellar provided preconstruction, design, and construction services to successfully integrate the new spaces with the existing facility. The refrigeration system was carefully tied into the current infrastructure, including a condenser replacement to support the expanded operations.

This project likely utilizes the last available buildable space on the property, helping Dot Foods meet increasing demand in the Chicago area and surrounding communities. With a focus on efficiency, collaboration, and long-term performance, the facility is now positioned to store and distribute a wide range of product types to serve the region more effectively.
